أَصْلُ ٱلِٱسْمِ وَسَبَبُهُ (Origin and cause of the name)

اَلصَّالِحَةُ ٱلْفَاضِلَةُ، وَصْفُهَا (Good and virtuous, described)
فاضلة ومكرمة جدًا (Virtuous, held in high estimation)
لُبْسُ ٱلْبُرْقُعِ عَادَةً فِي حَضْرَةِ ٱلرِّجَالِ (Generally wore a vail in the presence of the other sex)
اَلسَّكَنُ عَادَةً فِي خِدْرٍ مُنْفَرِدٍ أَوْ خَيْمَةٍ (Generally lived in a separated apartment or tent)
خَاضِعَاتٌ وَمُوَقِّرَاتٌ لِرِجَالِهِنَّ (Submissive and respectful to husbands)
مِنَ ٱلطَّبَقَاتِ ٱلْفَقِيرَةِ، سُمْرٌ لَوَّحَتْهُنَّ ٱلشَّمْسُ (Of the poorer classes swarthy from exposure to the sun)

لِتَكُونَ مُعِينًا نَظِيرَ ٱلرَّجُلِ (To be an helpmeet for man)
تَابِعَةٌ لِلرَّجُلِ (Subordinate to man)
أَنْ تَكُونَ مَجْدَ ٱلرَّجُلِ (To be the glory of man)

جَمِيلَةٌ وَحَسَنَةُ ٱلْمَنْظَرِ (Fair and graceful)
مُتَشَامِخَاتٌ فِي مِشْيَتِهِنَّ (Haughty in their deportment)
مُولَعَةٌ بِٱللِّبَاسِ وَٱلزِّينَةِ (Fond of dress and ornaments)
كُنَّ يَضْفِرْنَ شُعُورَهُنَّ وَيَتَزَيَّنَّ بِٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱللَّآلِئِ (Wore their hair plaited and adorned with gold and pearls)
