كَثِيرًا مَا يُرَادُ بِهِ كُلُّ قُوتِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ (Often put for the whole substance of man)
ٱلطَّعَامُ ٱلرَّئِيسِيُّ عِنْدَ ٱلْأَقْدَمِينَ (The principal food used by the ancients)
يُكْسَرُ لِلْأَكْلِ (Broken for use)

يُبَاعُ عَلَنًا (Publicly sold)
فِي أَوْقَاتِ ٱلْقِلَّةِ، يُبَاعُ بِٱلْوَزْنِ (In times of scarcity, sold by weight)
قِلَّتُهُ، تُرْسَلُ عِقَابًا (Scarceness of, sent as a punishment)
وَفْرَتُهُ، مَوْعُودٌ بِهَا لِلطَّائِعِينَ (Plenty of, promised to the obedient)
