مَدْعُوٌّ مِنَ ٱللهِ عَلَى ٱلْخُصُوصِ (Specially called of God)
مكرس لوظيفته (Consecrated to his office)
ٱلْوَظِيفَةُ وِرَاثِيَّةٌ (The office of, hereditary)
ٱلثَّانِي فِي ٱلرُّتْبَةِ بَعْدَ ٱلْمَلِكِ (Next in rank to the king)
كَثِيرًا مَا مَارَسَ ٱلسُّلْطَةَ ٱلْمَدَنِيَّةَ ٱلْعُلْيَا (Often exercised chief civil power)
أَحْيَانًا أُعْطِيَ أَنْ يَتَنَبَّأَ (Sometimes enabled to prophesy)
يُعَاوِنُهُ نَائِبٌ (Assisted by a deputy)
يَتَّخِذُ عَذْرَاءَ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ (To marry a virgin of Aaron's family)
مَمْنُوعٌ مِنَ ٱلنَّوْحِ عَلَى مَيْتٍ (Forbidden to mourn for any)
أَنْ يَكُونَ رَفِيقًا مُشْفِقًا (To be tender and compassionate)
يَحْتَاجُ أَنْ يُقَدِّمَ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ (Needed to sacrifice for himself)
صُنِعَتْ بِحِكْمَةٍ إِلَهِيَّةٍ أُعْطِيَتْ لِبَصَلْئِيلَ وَغَيْرِهِ (Made by divine wisdom given to Bezaleel, &c)
كَانَتْ لِلْمَجْدِ وَٱلْبَهَاءِ (Were for beauty and ornament)
لُبِسَتْ عِنْدَ تَكْرِيسِهِ (Worn at his consecration)
يَلْبَسُ ثِيَابَ ٱلْكَاهِنِ ٱلْعَادِيَّةَ عِنْدَ ٱلتَّكْفِيرِ فِي ٱلْقُدْسِ (Wore the ordinary priest's garments when making atonement in the holy place)
ٱلْوَظِيفَةُ وُعِدَ بِهَا نَسْلُ فِينَحَاسَ لِأَجْلِ غَيْرَتِهِ (Office of, promised to the posterity of Phinehas for his zeal)

يُقَدِّمُ قَرَابِينَ وَذَبَائِحَ (Offering gifts and sacrifices)

يُكَفِّرُ فِي قُدْسِ ٱلْأَقْدَاسِ مَرَّةً فِي ٱلسَّنَةِ (Making atonement in the most holy place once a year)
يَحْمِلُ أَسْمَاءَ إِسْرَائِيلَ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ لِلتَّذْكَارِ (Bearing before the Lord the names of Israel for a memorial)
يَسْأَلُ ٱلرَّبَّ بِٱلْأُورِيمِ وَٱلتُّمِّيمِ (Enquiring of God by Urim and Thummim)
تكريس اللاويين (Consecrating the Levites)
يُقِيمُ ٱلْكَهَنَةَ فِي وَظَائِفِهِمْ (Appointing priests to offices)
يَتَوَلَّى ٱلْفِضَّةَ ٱلْمَجْمُوعَةَ فِي بَيْتِ ٱلرَّبِّ (Taking charge of money collected in the sacred treasury)
يَتَرَأَّسُ ٱلْمَجْمَعَ ٱلْأَعْلَى (Presiding in the superior court)
يَحْسُبُ ٱلشَّعْبَ (Taking the census of the people)
يُبَارِكُ ٱلشَّعْبَ (Blessing the people)

يُدْعَى ٱلْكَاهِنَ ٱلثَّانِيَ (Called the second priest)
لَهُ وِكَالَةُ ٱلْمَسْكَنِ (Had oversight of the tabernacle)
لَهُ وِكَالَةُ ٱللَّاوِيِّينَ (Had oversight of the Levites)

ٱلرِّدَاءُ وَزُنَّارُ شَدِّهِ (Ephod with its curious girdle)

لُبِسَتْ عِنْدَ تَكْرِيسِهِ (Worn at his consecration)
تُلْبَسُ سَبْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ بَعْدَ ٱلتَّكْرِيسِ (Worn seven days after consecration)
ٱنْتَقَلَتْ إِلَى بَنِيهِ بَعْدَهُ (Descended to his successors)
كان رمزًا للمسيح في (TYPIFIED CHRIST IN)
مَدْعُوٌّ مِنَ ٱللهِ (Being called of God)
لَقَبُهُ (His title)
تَعْيِينُهُ (His appointment)
يُكَفِّرُ (Making atonement)
ٱلثِّيَابُ ٱلْبَهِيَّةُ (Splendid dress)
مُعَرَّضٌ لِلتَّجْرِبَةِ (Being liable to temptation)
الرأفة والتعاطف مع الجهال والضعفاء (Compassion and sympathy for the weak and ignorant)
يَتَزَوَّجُ عَذْرَاءَ (Marrying a virgin)
قَدَاسَةُ ٱلْوَظِيفَةِ (Holiness of office)
يَقُومُ بِنَفْسِهِ بِكُلِّ ٱلْخِدْمَةِ فِي يَوْمِ ٱلْكَفَّارَةِ (Performing by himself all the services on day of atonement)
يَحْمِلُ أَسْمَاءَ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى قَلْبِهِ (Bearing the names of Israel upon his heart)
يَدْخُلُ وَحْدَهُ إِلَى قُدْسِ ٱلْأَقْدَاسِ (Alone entering into most holy place)
يَشْفَعُ (Interceding)
ٱلْمُبَارَكَة (Blessing)
أدنى من المسيح في (INFERIOR TO CHRIST IN)
يَحْتَاجُ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ عَنْ خَطَايَا نَفْسِهِ (Needing to make atonement for his own sins)
عَلَى رُتْبَةِ هَارُونَ (Being of the order of Aaron)
صَارَ كَاهِنًا بِدُونِ قَسَمٍ (Being made without an oath)
مَمْنُوعٌ بِٱلْمَوْتِ عَنِ ٱلْبَقَاءِ (Not being able to continue)
يُقَدِّمُ مِرَارًا كَثِيرَةً تِلْكَ ٱلذَّبَائِحَ عَيْنَهَا (Offering oftentimes the same sacrifices)
يدخل إلى الأقداس كل سنة (Entering into holiest every year)
