صِهْيَوْن (ZION)

أخذها داود من اليبوسيين (Captured from the Jebusites by David)

دُعيت بعد ذلك مدينة داود (Called thereafter “the city of David,”)

وُضع فيها (Placed in)

نُقل منها إلى هيكل سليمان على جبل المريا (Removed from, to Solomon’ s temple on Mount Moriah)

بالمعنى الجمعي: مكان وأشكال وجماعات عبادة الإسرائيليين (Collectively, the place, the forms, and the assemblies of Israelite worship)

اسمها يُطلق على أورشليم (Name of, applied to Jerusalem)

تُدعى مدينة الله (Called the city of God)

وُعد بردها (Restoration of, promised)

اسمها يُطلق على مدينة المفديين (Name of, applied to the city of the redeemed)
