يؤخذ من الغنم أو الماعز (Taken out of the flock)

مُختار مسبقًا (Chosen before-hand)

يُحفظ أربعة أيام ليُفحص بدقة (Shut up four days that it might be closely examined)

يذبحه الشعب (Killed by the people)

يُذبح في المكان الذي اختاره الرب ليحلّ اسمه فيه (Killed at the place where the Lord put his name)

يُذبح في العشية (Killed in the evening)

يسفك دمه (Its blood to be shed)

دمه المرشوش على العتبة العليا والقائمتين (Blood of, sprinkled on lintel and door-posts)

لا يُخرج من البيت (Not taken out of the house)

ما بقي منه إلى الصباح يُحرق بالنار (What remained of it till morning to be burned)
