عشر أي شيء (The tenth of anything)
قِدم عادة العطاء لخدام الله (Antiquity of the custom of giving to God's ministers)
يُعد ردًا عادلًا لله على بركاته (Considered a just return to God for his blessings)
بموجب الشريعة كانت للرب (Under the law belonged to God)
أعطاها الله للاويين مقابل خدمتهم (Given by God to the Levites for their services)
عشرها الذي يقدمه اللاويون رفيعةً لله (The tenth of, offered by the Levites as an heave offering to God)
عشرها الذي يعطيه اللاويون للكهنة كنصيبهم (The tenth of, given by the Levites to the priests as their portion)
معقولية تخصيصها للاويين (Reasonableness of appointing, for the Levites)
عند استردادها يُضاف خُمس قيمتها (When redeemed to a fifth part of the value added)

من كل غلات الأرض (Of all the produce of the land)
من جميع الماشية (Of all cattle)
من الأشياء المقدسة المكرسة (Of holy things dedicated)
ثانٍ (A SECOND)
أو قيمتها تُحضر سنويًا إلى خيمة الاجتماع وتؤكل أمام الرب (Or its value yearly brought to the tabernacle and eaten before the Lord)
تؤكل في البيت كل ثلاث سنوات لتعزيز الضيافة والإحسان (To be consumed at home every third year to promote hospitality and charity)
