ذَبِيحَةُ الْخَطِيَّةِ (SIN-OFFERING)

أَصْلُهَا الْمُحْتَمَلُ (Probable origin of)
كَانَتْ ذَبِيحَةَ قُدْسِ أَقْدَاسٍ (Was a most holy sacrifice)
تُنْقَلُ خَطَايَا الْمُقَدِّمِ إِلَيْهَا بِوَضْعِ الْيَدِ (Sins of the offerer transferred to, by imposition of hands)
كَانَتْ تُذْبَحُ فِي مَوْضِعِ ذَبْحِ الْمُحْرَقَةِ (Was killed in the same place as the burnt-offering)
الشَّحْمُ الَّذِي فِي الْجَوْفِ وَالْكُلْيَتَانِ يُوقَدُ عَلَى مَذْبَحِ الْمُحْرَقَةِ (Fat of the inside, kidneys, burned on the altar of burnt offering)
إِذَا كَانَتْ عَنِ الْكَاهِنِ أَوِ الْجَمَاعَةِ، يُحْرَقُ جِلْدُهَا وَجُثَّتُهَا خَارِجَ الْمَحَلَّةِ (When for a priest or the congregation, the skin, carcass, burned without the camp)
كَانَ يَأْكُلُهَا الْكَهَنَةُ فِي مَكَانٍ مُقَدَّسٍ إِذَا لَمْ يُدْخَلْ دَمُهَا إِلَى الْمَسْكَنِ (Was eaten by the priests in a holy place, when its blood had not been brought into the tabernacle)
وُبِّخَ هَارُونُ، إِلَخْ، لأَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَقُوا وَلَمْ يَأْكُلُوا ذَبِيحَةَ الْجَمَاعَةِ، إِذْ لَمْ يُدْخَلْ دَمُهَا إِلَى الْمَسْكَنِ (Aaron, &c rebuked for burning and not eating that of the congregation, its blood not having been brought into the tabernacle)
كُلُّ مَا مَسَّ لَحْمَهَا يَكُونُ مُقَدَّسًا (Whatever touched the flesh of, was rendered holy)
الثِّيَابُ الْمَرْشُوشَةُ بِدَمِهَا تُغْسَلُ (Garments sprinkled with the blood of, to be washed)

تتكوّن من (CONSISTED OF)
ثَوْرُ ابْنُ بَقَرٍ لِلْكَهَنَةِ (A young bullock for priests)
ثَوْرُ ابْنُ بَقَرٍ أَوْ تَيْسٌ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ (A young bullock or he-goat for the congregation)
تَيْسٌ ذَكَرٌ لِرَئِيسٍ (A male kid for a ruler)
عَنْزٌ أُنْثَى أَوْ حَمَلَةٌ أُنْثَى لِشَخْصٍ فَرْدٍ (A female kid or female lamb for a private person)
دَمُهَا (THE BLOOD OF)
لِلْكَاهِنِ أَوْ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ، يُدْخِلُ الْكَاهِنُ دَمَهَا إِلَى الْمَسْكَنِ (For a priest or for the congregation, brought by the priest into the tabernacle)
لِلْكَاهِنِ أَوْ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ، يَرُشُّ الْكَاهِنُ مِنْ دَمِهَا بِإِصْبَعِهِ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ قُدَّامَ الْحِجَابِ (For a priest or for the congregation, sprinkled seven times before the Lord, outside the vail, by the priest with his finger)
لِلْكَاهِنِ أَوْ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ، يَضَعُ الْكَاهِنُ مِنْ دَمِهَا بِإِصْبَعِهِ عَلَى قُرُونِ مَذْبَحِ الْمُحْرَقَةِ (For a priest of for the congregation, put upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering by the priest with his finger)
فِي كُلِّ حَالَةٍ يُسْكَبُ دَمُهَا عِنْدَ أَسَاسِ مَذْبَحِ الْمُحْرَقَةِ (In every case poured at the foot of the altar of burnt offering)
