Job 7:5

← Job 7:4 Job 7:5 (KJV) Job 7:6 →
When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? and I am full of tossings to and fro unto the dawning of the day.
My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken, and become loathsome.
My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.

  • H7280 — רָגַע (râgaʻ, raw-gah'): a primitive root; properly, to toss violently and suddenly (the sea with waves, the skin with boils); figuratively (in a favorable manner) to settle, i.e. quiet; specifically, to wink (from the motion of the eye-lids); break, divide, find ease, be a moment, (cause, give, make to) rest, make suddenly.
  • H7415 — רִמָּה (rimmâh, rim-maw'): from רָמַם (râmam) H7426 in the sense of breading (compare רוּם (rûwm) H7311); a maggot (as rapidly bred), literally or figuratively; worm.
