Hebrews 13:4

← Hebrews 13:3 Hebrews 13:4 (KJV) Hebrews 13:5 →
Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

  • G2316 — θεός (theós, theh'-os): of uncertain affinity; a deity, especially (with ὁ (ho) G3588) the supreme Divinity; figuratively, a magistrate; by Hebraism, very; X exceeding, God, god(-ly, -ward)
  • G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words; and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet
  • G2845 — κοίτη (koítē, koy'-tay): from κεῖμαι (keîmai) G2749; a couch; by extension, cohabitation; by implication, the male sperm; bed, chambering, X conceive
  • G2919 — κρίνω (krínō, kree'-no): properly, to distinguish, i.e. decide (mentally or judicially); by implication, to try, condemn, punish; avenge, conclude, condemn, damn, decree, determine, esteem, judge, go to (sue at the) law, ordain, call in question, sentence to, think

  • G4205 — πόρνος (pórnos, por'-nos): from πέρνημι (pérnēmi) (to sell; akin to the base of πιπράσκω (pipráskō) G4097); a (male) prostitute (as venal), i.e. (by analogy) a debauchee (libertine); fornicator, whoremonger
  • G5093 — τίμιος (tímios, tim'-ee-os): from τιμή (timḗ) G5092; valuable, i.e. (objectively) costly, or (subjectively) honored, esteemed, or (figuratively) beloved; dear, honourable, (more, most) precious, had in reputation

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
