|---|---|---|
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
|
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
|
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

- G1063 — γάρ (gár, gar): a primary particle; properly, assigning a reason (used in argument, explanation or intensification; often with other particles); and, as, because (that), but, even, for, indeed, no doubt, seeing, then, therefore, verily, what, why, yet
- G1081 — γέννημα (génnēma, ghen'-nay-mah): from γεννάω (gennáō) G1080; offspring; by analogy, produce (literally or figuratively); fruit, generation

- G1537 — ἐκ (ek, ek): a primary preposition denoting origin (the point whence action or motion proceeds), from, out (of place, time, or cause; literal or figurative; direct or remote); after, among, X are, at, betwixt(-yond), by (the means of), exceedingly, (+ abundantly above), for(- th), from (among, forth, up), + grudgingly, + heartily, X heavenly, X hereby, + very highly, in, …ly, (because, by reason) of, off (from), on, out among (from, of), over, since, X thenceforth, through, X unto, X vehemently, with(-out). Often used in composition, with the same general import; often of completion.

- G4190 — πονηρός (ponērós, pon-ay-ros'): from a derivative of πόνος (pónos) G4192; hurtful, i.e. evil (properly, in effect or influence, and thus differing from κακός (kakós) G2556, which refers rather to essential character, as well as from σαπρός (saprós) G4550, which indicates degeneracy from original virtue); figuratively, calamitous; also (passively) ill, i.e. diseased; but especially (morally) culpable, i.e. derelict, vicious, facinorous; neuter (singular) mischief, malice, or (plural) guilt; masculine (singular) the devil, or (plural) sinners; bad, evil, grievous, harm, lewd, malicious, wicked(-ness). - G4750 — στόμα (stóma, stom'-a): probably strengthened from a presumed derivative of the base of τομώτερος (tomṓteros) G5114; the mouth (as if a gash in the face); by implication, language (and its relations); figuratively, an opening (in the earth); specially, the front or edge (of a weapon); edge, face, mouth
