Titus 2:7

← Titus 2:6 Titus 2:7 (KJV) Titus 2:8 →
Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

Strong's References
  • G90 — ἀδιαφθορία (adiaphthoría, ad-ee-af-thor-ee'-ah): from a derivative of a compound of Α (A) G1 (as a negative particle) and a derivative of διαφθείρω (diaphtheírō) G1311; incorruptibleness, i.e. (figuratively) purity (of doctrine); uncorruptness
  • G861 — ἀφθαρσία (aphtharsía, af-thar-see'-ah): from ἄφθαρτος (áphthartos) G862; incorruptibility; genitive, unending existence; (figuratively) genuineness; immortality, incorruption, sincerity
  • G1319 — διδασκαλία (didaskalía, did-as-kal-ee'-ah): from διδάσκαλος (didáskalos) G1320; instruction (the function or the information); doctrine, learning, teaching

Often used in compounds, with substantially the same import; rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction, except (elliptically) by a separate (and different) preposition.
  • G2041 — ἔργον (érgon, er'-gon): from a primary (but obsolete) ἔργω (érgō) (to work); toil (as an effort or occupation); by implication, an act; deed, doing, labour, work
  • G2570 — καλός (kalós, kal-os'): of uncertain affinity; properly, beautiful, but chiefly (figuratively) good (literally or morally), i.e. valuable or virtuous (for appearance or use, and thus distinguished from ἀγαθός (agathós) G18, which is properly intrinsic); X better, fair, good(-ly), honest, meet, well, worthy
  • G3930 — παρέχω (paréchō, par-ekh'-o): from παρά (pará) G3844 and ἔχω (échō) G2192; to hold near, i.e. present, afford, exhibit, furnish occasion; bring, do, give, keep, minister, offer, shew, + trouble
  • G3956 — πᾶς (pâs, pas): including all the forms of declension; apparently a primary word; all, any, every, the whole; all (manner of, means), alway(-s), any (one), X daily, + ever, every (one, way), as many as, + no(-thing), X thoroughly, whatsoever, whole, whosoever
  • G4012 — περί (perí, per-ee'): from the base of πέραν (péran) G4008; properly, through (all over), i.e. around; figuratively with respect to; used in various applications, of place, cause or time (with the genitive case denoting the subject or occasion or superlative point; with the accusative case the locality, circuit, matter, circumstance or general period); (there-)about, above, against, at, on behalf of, X and his company, which concern, (as) concerning, for, X how it will go with, ((there-, where-)) of, on, over, pertaining (to), for sake, X (e-)state, (as) touching, (where-)by (in), with. In comparative, it retains substantially the same meaning of circuit (around), excess (beyond), or completeness (through).
  • G4572 — σεαυτοῦ (seautoû, seh-ow-too'): genitive case from σέ (sé) G4571 and αὐτός (autós) G846, also dative case of the same, σεαυτῷ (seautōi) seh-ow-to', and accusative case σεαυτόν (seautón) seh-ow-ton', likewise contracted σαυτοῦ (sautoû) sow-too', σαυτῷ (sautōi) sow-to', and σαυτόν (sautón) sow-ton', respectively; of (with, to) thyself; thee, thine own self, (thou) thy(-self)
  • G4587 — σεμνότης (semnótēs, sem-not'-ace): from σεμνός (semnós) G4586; venerableness, i.e. probity; gravity, honesty
  • G5179 — τύπος (týpos, too'-pos): from τύπτω (týptō) G5180; a die (as struck), i.e. (by implication) a stamp or scar; by analogy, a shape, i.e. a statue, (figuratively) style or resemblance; specially, a sampler ("type"), i.e. a model (for imitation) or instance (for warning); en-(ex-)ample, fashion, figure, form, manner, pattern, print

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
