|---|---|---|
Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
|
And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
|
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

- G1161 — δέ (dé, deh): a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.; also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English)
- G1624 — ἐκτρέπω (ektrépō, ek-trep'-o): from ἐκ (ek) G1537 and the base of τροπή (tropḗ) G5157; to deflect, i.e. turn away (literally or figuratively); avoid, turn (aside, out of the way)
- G2390 — ἰάομαι (iáomai, ee-ah'-om-ahee): middle voice of apparently a primary verb; to cure (literally or figuratively); heal, make whole
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words; and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet
- G3123 — μᾶλλον (mâllon, mal'-lon): neuter of the comparative of the same as μάλιστα (málista) G3122; (adverbially) more (in a greater degree) or rather; + better, X far, (the) more (and more), (so) much (the more), rather
- G3363 — ἵνα μή (hína mḗ, hin'-ah may): i.e. ἵνα (hína) G2443 and μή (mḗ) G3361; in order (or so) that not; albeit not, lest, that, no(-t, (-thing))
- G3717 — ὀρθός (orthós, or-thos'): probably from the base of ὄρος (óros) G3735; right (as rising), i.e. (perpendicularly) erect (figuratively, honest), or (horizontally) level or direct; straight, upright
- G4160 — ποιέω (poiéō, poy-eh'-o): apparently a prolonged form of an obsolete primary; to make or do (in a very wide application, more or less direct); abide, + agree, appoint, X avenge, + band together, be, bear, + bewray, bring (forth), cast out, cause, commit, + content, continue, deal, + without any delay, (would) do(-ing), execute, exercise, fulfil, gain, give, have, hold, X journeying, keep, + lay wait, + lighten the ship, make, X mean, + none of these things move me, observe, ordain, perform, provide, + have purged, purpose, put, + raising up, X secure, shew, X shoot out, spend, take, tarry, + transgress the law, work, yield. Compare πράσσω (prássō) G4238.
- G4228 — πούς (poús, pooce): a primary word; a "foot" (figuratively or literally); foot(-stool)
- G5163 — τροχιά (trochiá, trokh-ee-ah'): from τροχός (trochós) G5164; a track (as a wheel-rut), i.e. (figuratively) a course of conduct; path
- G5216 — ὑμῶν (hymōn, hoo-mone'): genitive case of ὑμεῖς (hymeîs) G5210; of (from or concerning) you; ye, you, your (own, -selves)
- G5560 — χωλός (chōlós, kho-los'): apparently a primary word; "halt", i.e. limping; cripple, halt, lame
The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
- G2443 — ἵνα (hína, hin'-ah): probably from the same as the former part of ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438 (through the demonstrative idea; compare ὁ (ho) G3588); in order that (denoting the purpose or the result); albeit, because, to the intent (that), lest, so as, (so) that, (for) to. Compare ἵνα μή (hína mḗ) G3363.
- G3361 — μή (mḗ, may): a primary particle of qualified negation (whereas οὐ (ou) G3756 expresses an absolute denial); (adverb) not, (conjunction) lest; also (as an interrogative implying a negative answer (whereas οὐ (ou) G3756 expects an affirmative one)) whether; any but (that), X forbear, + God forbid, + lack, lest, neither, never, no (X wise in), none, nor, (can-)not, nothing, that not, un(-taken), without. Often used in compounds in substantially the same relations. See also ἐὰν μή (eàn mḗ) G3362, ἵνα μή (hína mḗ) G3363, οὐ μή (ou mḗ) G3364, μῆκος (mēkos) G3372, μηκύνω (mēkýnō) G3373, μήν (mḗn) G3375, μὴ οὐκ (mḕ ouk) G3378.
- G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom); the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc
