2. وتُدعى أيضًا سوخار، مدينة ملجإ في جبل أفرايم (2. Also called SYCHAR, a city of refuge in Mount Ephraim)
جمع يشوع فيها أسباط إسرائيل جميعًا مع شيوخهم ورؤسائهم وقضاتهم وعرفائهم، وأوقفهم أمام الرب (Joshua assembled the tribes of Israel at, with all their elders, chiefs, and judges, and presented them before the Lord)
يَشُوع دُفن فيها (Joshua buried at)
مُلِّكَ أَبِيمَالِكُ فيها (Abimelech made king at)
تُوِّج رَحُبْعَامُ فيها (Rehoboam crowned at)
دمّرها أَبِيمَالِكُ (Destroyed by Abimelech)
بناها يَرُبْعَامُ من جديد (Rebuilt by Jeroboam)
قتل إسماعيل رجالًا منها (Men of, killed by Ishmael)
يَسُوع يزورها؛ تلاميذ يُتَّخذون فيها (Jesus visits; disciples made in)
3. ابن حمور؛ أغوى ابنة يعقوب؛ قتله بنو يعقوب (3. Son of Hamor; seduces Jacob’ s daughter; killed by Jacob’ s sons)
تُدعى سيخم (Called SYCHEM)
