Philippians 2:3

← Philippians 2:2 Philippians 2:3 (KJV) Philippians 2:4 →
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

  • G2228 — ἤ (ḗ, ay): a primary particle of distinction between two connected terms; disjunctive, or; comparative, than; and, but (either), (n-)either, except it be, (n-)or (else), rather, save, than, that, what, yea. Often used in connection with other particles. Compare especially ἤδη (ḗdē) G2235, ἤπερ (ḗper) G2260, ἤτοι (ḗtoi) G2273.
  • G2233 — ἡγέομαι (hēgéomai, hayg-eh'-om-ahee): middle voice of a (presumed) strengthened form of ἄγω (ágō) G71; to lead, i.e. command (with official authority); figuratively, to deem, i.e. consider; account, (be) chief, count, esteem, governor, judge, have the rule over, suppose, think
  • G2596 — κατά (katá, kat-ah'): a primary particle; (prepositionally) down (in place or time), in varied relations (according to the case (genitive, dative or accusative) with which it is joined); about, according as (to), after, against, (when they were) X alone, among, and, X apart, (even, like) as (concerning, pertaining to touching), X aside, at, before, beyond, by, to the charge of, (charita-)bly, concerning, + covered, (dai-)ly, down, every, (+ far more) exceeding, X more excellent, for, from … to, godly, in(-asmuch, divers, every, -to, respect of), … by, after the manner of, + by any means, beyond (out of) measure, X mightily, more, X natural, of (up-)on (X part), out (of every), over against, (+ your) X own, + particularly, so, through(-oughout, -oughout every), thus, (un-)to(-gether, -ward), X uttermost, where(-by), with. In composition it retains many of these applications, and frequently denotes opposition, distribution, or intensity.
  • G2754 — κενοδοξία (kenodoxía, ken-od-ox-ee'-ah): from κενόδοξος (kenódoxos) G2755; empty glorying, i.e. self-conceit; vain-glory

  • G5012 — ταπεινοφροσύνη (tapeinophrosýnē, tap-i-nof-ros-oo'-nay): from a compound of ταπεινός (tapeinós) G5011 and the base of φρήν (phrḗn) G5424; humiliation of mind, i.e. modesty; humbleness of mind, humility (of mind, loneliness (of mind)
