  • G314 — ἀναγινώσκω (anaginṓskō, an-ag-in-oce'-ko): from ἀνά (aná) G303 and γινώσκω (ginṓskō) G1097; to know again, i.e. (by extension) to read; read
  • G946 — βδέλυγμα (bdélygma, bdel'-oog-mah): from βδελύσσω (bdelýssō) G948; a detestation, i.e. (specially) idolatry; abomination

  • G1223 — διά (diá, dee-ah'): a primary preposition denoting the channel of an act; through (in very wide applications, local, causal, or occasional); after, always, among, at, to avoid, because of (that), briefly, by, for (cause) … fore, from, in, by occasion of, of, by reason of, for sake, that, thereby, therefore, X though, through(-out), to, wherefore, with (-in). In composition it retains the same general importance.
  • G1492 — εἴδω (eídō, i'-do): a primary verb; used only in certain past tenses, the others being borrowed from the equivalent ὀπτάνομαι (optánomai) G3700 and ὁράω (horáō) G3708; properly, to see (literally or figuratively); by implication, (in the perfect tense only) to know; be aware, behold, X can (+ not tell), consider, (have) know(-ledge), look (on), perceive, see, be sure, tell, understand, wish, wot. Compare ὀπτάνομαι (optánomai) G3700.
  • G1722 — ἐν (en, en): a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), i.e. a relation of rest (intermediate between εἰς (eis) G1519 and ἐκ (ek) G1537); "in," at, (up-)on, by, etc.; about, after, against, + almost, X altogether, among, X as, at, before, between, (here-)by (+ all means), for (… sake of), + give self wholly to, (here-)in(-to, -wardly), X mightily, (because) of, (up-)on, (open-)ly, X outwardly, one, X quickly, X shortly, (speedi-)ly, X that, X there(-in, -on), through(-out), (un-)to(-ward), under, when, where(-with), while, with(-in). Often used in compounds, with substantially the same import; rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction, except (elliptically) by a separate (and different) preposition.
  • G2050 — ἐρήμωσις (erḗmōsis, er-ay'-mo-sis): from ἐρημόω (erēmóō) G2049; despoliation; desolation
  • G2476 — ἵστημι (hístēmi, his'-tay-mee): a prolonged form of a primary στάω (stáō) stah'-o (of the same meaning, and used for it in certain tenses); to stand (transitively or intransitively), used in various applications (literally or figuratively); abide, appoint, bring, continue, covenant, establish, hold up, lay, present, set (up), stanch, stand (by, forth, still, up). Compare τίθημι (títhēmi) G5087.
  • G3539 — νοιέω (noiéō, noy-eh'-o): from νοῦς (noûs) G3563; to exercise the mind (observe), i.e. (figuratively) to comprehend, heed; consider, perceive, think, understand
  • G3752 — ὅταν (hótan, hot'-an): from ὅτε (hóte) G3753 and ἄν (án) G302; whenever (implying hypothesis or more or less uncertainty); also causatively (conjunctionally) inasmuch as; as long (soon) as, that, + till, when(-soever), while
  • G3767 — οὖν (oûn, oon): apparently a primary word; (adverbially) certainly, or (conjunctionally) accordingly; and (so, truly), but, now (then), so (likewise then), then, therefore, verily, wherefore
  • G4396 — προφήτης (prophḗtēs, prof-ay'-tace): from a compound of πρό (pró) G4253 and φημί (phēmí) G5346; a foreteller ("prophet"); by analogy, an inspired speaker; by extension, a poet; prophet
  • G4483 — ῥέω (rhéō, hreh'-o): perhaps akin (or identical) with ῥέω (rhéō) G4482 (through the idea of pouring forth); to utter, i.e. speak or say; command, make, say, speak (of). Compare λέγω (légō) G3004.
  • G5117 — τόπος (tópos, top'-os): apparently a primary word; a spot (general in space, but limited by occupancy; whereas χώρα (chṓra) G5561 is a large but participle locality), i.e. location (as a position, home, tract, etc.); figuratively, condition, opportunity; specially, a scabbard; coast, licence, place, X plain, quarter, + rock, room, where
