Job 37:22

← Job 37:21 Job 37:22 (KJV) Job 37:23 →
And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.
Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

Strong's References
  • H433 — אֱלוֹהַּ (ʼĕlôwahh, el-o'-ah): rarely (shortened) אֱלֹהַּ (ʼĕlôahh); probably prolonged (emphatic) from אֵל (ʼêl) H410; a deity or the Deity; God, god. See אֱלֹהִים (ʼĕlôhîym) H430.
  • H857 — אָתָה (ʼâthâh, aw-thaw'): or אָתָא (ʼâthâʼ); a primitive root (collateral to אוּת (ʼûwth) H225 contraction); to arrive; (be-, things to) come (upon), bring.
  • H1935 — הוֹד (hôwd, hode): from an unused root; grandeur (i.e. an imposing form and appearance); beauty, comeliness, excellency, glorious, glory, goodly, honour, majesty.
  • H2091 — זָהָב (zâhâb, zaw-hawb'): from an unused root meaning to shimmer; gold, figuratively, something gold-colored (i.e. yellow), as oil, a clear sky; gold(-en), fair weather.
  • H3372 — יָרֵא (yârêʼ, yaw-ray'): a primitive root; to fear; morally, to revere; caus. to frighten; affright, be (make) afraid, dread(-ful), (put in) fear(-ful, -fully, -ing), (be had in) reverence(-end), [idiom] see, terrible (act, -ness, thing).
  • H6828 — צָפוֹן (tsâphôwn, tsaw-fone'): or צָפֹן (tsâphôn); from צָפַן (tsâphan) H6845; properly, hidden, i.e. dark; used only of the north as aquarter (gloomy and unknown); north(-ern, side, -ward, wind).

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • H5921 — עַל (ʻal, al): properly, the same as עַל (ʻal) H5920 used as a preposition (in the singular or plural often with prefix, or as conjunction with a particle following); above, over, upon, or against (yet always in this last relation with a downward aspect) in a great variety of applications; above, according to(-ly), after, (as) against, among, and, [idiom] as, at, because of, beside (the rest of), between, beyond the time, [idiom] both and, by (reason of), [idiom] had the charge of, concerning for, in (that), (forth, out) of, (from) (off), (up-) on, over, than, through(-out), to, touching, [idiom] with.
