Hebrews 12:26

|---|---|---|
See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
|
Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
|
And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

- G235 — ἀλλά (allá, al-lah'): neuter plural of ἄλλος (állos) G243; properly, other things, i.e. (adverbially) contrariwise (in many relations); and, but (even), howbeit, indeed, nay, nevertheless, no, notwithstanding, save, therefore, yea, yet
- G530 — ἅπαξ (hápax, hap'-ax): probably from ἅπας (hápas) G537; one (or a single) time (numerically or conclusively); once
- G1093 — γῆ (gē, ghay): contracted from a primary word; soil; by extension a region, or the solid part or the whole of the terrene globe (including the occupants in each application); country, earth(-ly), ground, land, world
- G1161 — δέ (dé, deh): a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.; also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English)
- G1473 — ἐγώ (egṓ, eg-o'): a primary pronoun of the first person; I (only expressed when emphatic); I, me. For the other cases and the plural see ἐμέ (emé) G1691, ἐμοί (emoí) G1698, ἐμοῦ (emoû) G1700, ἡμᾶς (hēmâs) G2248, ἡμεῖς (hēmeîs) G2249, ἡμῖν (hēmîn) G2254, ἡμῶν (hēmōn) G2257, etc.
- G1861 — ἐπαγγέλλω (epangéllō, ep-ang-el'-lo): from ἐπί (epí) G1909 and the base of ἄγγελος (ángelos) G32; to announce upon (reflexively), i.e. (by implication) to engage to do something, to assert something respecting oneself; profess, (make) promise
- G2089 — ἔτι (éti, et'-ee): perhaps akin to ἔτος (étos) G2094; "yet," still (of time or degree); after that, also, ever, (any) further, (t-)henceforth (more), hereafter, (any) longer, (any) more(-one), now, still, yet
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words; and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet
- G3004 — λέγω (légō, leg'-o): a primary verb; properly, to "lay" forth, i.e. (figuratively) relate (in words (usually of systematic or set discourse; whereas ἔπω (épō) G2036 and φημί (phēmí) G5346 generally refer to an individual expression or speech respectively; while ῥέω (rhéō) G4483 is properly to break silence merely, and λαλέω (laléō) G2980 means an extended or random harangue)); by implication, to mean; ask, bid, boast, call, describe, give out, name, put forth, say(-ing, on), shew, speak, tell, utter
- G3440 — μόνον (mónon, mon'-on): neuter of μόνος (mónos) G3441 as adverb; merely; alone, but, only
- G3568 — νῦν (nŷn, noon): a primary particle of present time; "now" (as adverb of date, a transition or emphasis); also as noun or adjective present or immediate; henceforth, + hereafter, of late, soon, present, this (time). See also τανῦν (tanŷn) G3569, νυνί (nyní) G3570.
- G3739 — ὅς (hós, hos): probably a primary word (or perhaps a form of the article ὁ (ho) G3588); the relatively (sometimes demonstrative) pronoun, who, which, what, that; one, (an-, the) other, some, that, what, which, who(-m, -se), etc. See also οὗ (hoû) G3757.
- G3756 — οὐ (ou, oo): a primary word; the absolute negative (compare μή (mḗ) G3361) adverb; no or not; + long, nay, neither, never, no (X man), none, (can-)not, + nothing, + special, un(-worthy), when, + without, + yet but. See also οὐ μή (ou mḗ) G3364, μῆκος (mēkos) G3372.
- G3772 — οὐρανός (ouranós, oo-ran-os'): perhaps from the same as ὄρος (óros) G3735 (through the idea of elevation); the sky; by extension, heaven (as the abode of God); by implication, happiness, power, eternity; specially, the Gospel (Christianity); air, heaven(-ly), sky
- G4531 — σαλεύω (saleúō, sal-yoo'-o): from σάλος (sálos) G4535; to waver, i.e. agitate, rock, topple or (by implication) destroy; figuratively, to disturb, incite; move, shake (together), which can(-not) be shaken, stir up
- G4579 — σείω (seíō, si'-o): apparently a primary verb; to rock (vibrate, properly, sideways or to and fro), i.e. (generally) to agitate (in any direction; cause to tremble); figuratively, to throw into a tremor (of fear or concern); move, quake, shake
- G5119 — τότε (tóte, tot'-eh): from (the neuter of) ὁ (ho) G3588 and ὅτε (hóte) G3753; the when, i.e. at the time that (of the past or future, also in consecution); that time, then
- G5456 — φωνή (phōnḗ, fo-nay'): probably akin to φαίνω (phaínō) G5316 through the idea of disclosure; a tone (articulate, bestial or artificial); by implication, an address (for any purpose), saying or language; noise, sound, voice
