← Psalms 34:8 Psalms 34:9 (KJV) Psalms 34:10 →
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

  • H3372 — יָרֵא (yârêʼ, yaw-ray'): a primitive root; to fear; morally, to revere; caus. to frighten; affright, be (make) afraid, dread(-ful), (put in) fear(-ful, -fully, -ing), (be had in) reverence(-end), [idiom] see, terrible (act, -ness, thing).
  • H3373 — יָרֵא (yârêʼ, yaw-ray'): from יָרֵא (yârêʼ) H3372; fearing; morally, reverent; afraid, fear (-ful).
  • H4270 — מַחְסוֹר (machçôwr, makh-sore'): or מַחְסֹר (machçôr); from חָסֵר (châçêr) H2637; deficiency; hence, impoverishment; lack, need, penury, poor, poverty, want.
  • H6918 — קָדוֹשׁ (qâdôwsh, kaw-doshe'): or קָדֹשׁ (qâdôsh); from קָדַשׁ (qâdash) H6942; sacred (ceremonially or morally); (as noun) God (by eminence), an angel, a saint, a sanctuary; holy (One), saint.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • H369 — אַיִן (ʼayin, ah'-yin): as if from a primitive root meaning to be nothing or not exist; a non-entity; generally used as a negative particle; else, except, fail, (father-) less, be gone, in(-curable), neither, never, no (where), none, nor, (any, thing), not, nothing, to nought, past, un(-searchable), well-nigh, without. Compare אַיִן (ʼayin) H370.
  • H853 — אֵת (ʼêth, ayth): apparent contracted from אוֹת (ʼôwth) H226 in the demonstrative sense of entity; properly, self (but generally used to point out more definitely the object of a verb or preposition, even or namely); (as such unrepresented in English).
  • H3588 — כִּי (kîy, kee): a primitive particle (the full form of the prepositional prefix) indicating causal relations of all kinds, antecedent or consequent; (by implication) very widely used as a relative conjunction or adverb (as below); often largely modified by other particles annexed; and, + (forasmuch, inasmuch, where-) as, assured(-ly), + but, certainly, doubtless, + else, even, + except, for, how, (because, in, so, than) that, + nevertheless, now, rightly, seeing, since, surely, then, therefore, + (al-) though, + till, truly, + until, when, whether, while, whom, yea, yet.
