2 Timothy 2:9

← 2 Timothy 2:8 2 Timothy 2:9 (KJV) 2 Timothy 2:10 →
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

  • G2316 — θεός (theós, theh'-os): of uncertain affinity; a deity, especially (with ὁ (ho) G3588) the supreme Divinity; figuratively, a magistrate; by Hebraism, very; X exceeding, God, god(-ly, -ward)
  • G2553 — κακοπαθέω (kakopathéō, kak-op-ath-eh'-o): from the same as κακοπάθεια (kakopátheia) G2552; to undergo hardship; be afflicted, endure afflictions (hardness), suffer trouble
  • G2557 — κακοῦργος (kakoûrgos, kak-oor'-gos): from κακός (kakós) G2556 and the base of ἔργον (érgon) G2041; a wrong-doer, i.e. criminal; evil-doer, malefactor
  • G3056 — λόγος (lógos, log'-os): from λέγω (légō) G3004; something said (including the thought); by implication, a topic (subject of discourse), also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; by extension, a computation; specially, (with the article in John) the Divine Expression (i.e. Christ); account, cause, communication, X concerning, doctrine, fame, X have to do, intent, matter, mouth, preaching, question, reason, + reckon, remove, say(-ing), shew, X speaker, speech, talk, thing, + none of these things move me, tidings, treatise, utterance, word, work

  • G3739 — ὅς (hós, hos): probably a primary word (or perhaps a form of the article ὁ (ho) G3588); the relatively (sometimes demonstrative) pronoun, who, which, what, that; one, (an-, the) other, some, that, what, which, who(-m, -se), etc. See also οὗ (hoû) G3757.
