Strong's References
  • H2490 — חָלַל (châlal, khaw-lal'): a primitive root (compare חָלָה (châlâh) H2470); also denominative (from חָלִיל (châlîyl) H2485); properly, to bore, i.e. (by implication) to wound, to dissolve; figuratively, to profane (a person, place or thing), to break (one's word), to begin (as if by an 'opening wedge'); to play (the flute); begin ([idiom] men began), defile, [idiom] break, defile, [idiom] eat (as common things), [idiom] first, [idiom] gather the grape thereof, [idiom] take inheritance, pipe, player on instruments, pollute, (cast as) profane (self), prostitute, slay (slain), sorrow, stain, wound.
  • H4599 — מַעְיָן (maʻyân, mah-yawn'): or מַעְיְנוֹ (maʻyᵉnôw); (Psalm 114:8), or (feminine) מַעְיָנָה (maʻyânâh); from עַיִן (ʻayin) H5869 (as a denominative in the sense of a spring); a fountain (also collectively), figuratively, a source (of satisfaction); fountain, spring, well.
  • H7891 — שִׁיר (shîyr, sheer): or (the original form) שׁוּר (shûwr); (1 Samuel 18:6), a primitive root (rather identical with שׁוּר (shûwr) H7788 through the idea of strolling minstrelsy); to sing; behold (by mistake for שׁוּר (shûwr) H7789), sing(-er, -ing man, -ing woman).

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • H3605 — כֹּל (kôl, kole): or (Jeremiah 33:8) כּוֹל (kôwl); from כָּלַל (kâlal) H3634; properly, the whole; hence, all, any or every (in the singular only, but often in a plural sense); (in) all (manner, (ye)), altogether, any (manner), enough, every (one, place, thing), howsoever, as many as, (no-) thing, ought, whatsoever, (the) whole, whoso(-ever).
