← Psalms 108:8 Psalms 108:9 (KJV) Psalms 108:10 →
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

Strong's References
  • H123 — אֱדֹם (ʼĔdôm, ed-ome'): or (fully) אֱדוֹם (ʼĔdôwm) ; from אָדֹם (ʼâdôm) H122; red (see Genesis 25:25); Edom, the elder twin-brother of Jacob; hence the region (Idumaea) occupied by him; Edom, Edomites, Idumea.
  • H4124 — מוֹאָב (Môwʼâb, mo-awb): from a prolonged form of the prepositional prefix m-and אָב (ʼâb) H1; from (her (the mother's)) father; Moab, an incestuous son of Lot; also his territory and descendants; Moab.
  • H5275 — נַעַל (naʻal, nah'-al): or (feminine) נַעֲלָה (naʻălâh); from נָעַל (nâʻal) H5274; properly, a sandal tongue; by extension a sandal or slipper (sometimes as a symbol of occupancy, a refusal to marry, or of something valueless); dryshod, (pair of) shoe((-latchet), -s).
  • H5518 — סִיר (çîyr, seer): or (feminine) סִירָה (çîyrâh); or סִרָה (çirâh); (Jeremiah 52:18), from a primitive root meaning to boil up; a pot; also a thorn (as springing up rapidly); by implication, a hook; caldron, fishhook, pan, (wash-)pot, thorn.
  • H6429 — פְּלֶשֶׁת (Pᵉlesheth, pel-eh'-sheth): from פָּלַשׁ (pâlash) H6428; rolling, i.e. migratory; Pelesheth, a region of Syria; Palestina, Palestine, Philistia, Philistines.
  • H7321 — רוּעַ (rûwaʻ, roo-ah'): a primitive root; to mar (especially by breaking); figuratively, to split the ears (with sound), i.e. shout (for alarm or joy); blow an alarm, cry (alarm, aloud, out), destroy, make a joyful noise, smart, shout (for joy), sound an alarm, triumph.
  • H7366 — רַחַץ (rachats, rakh'-ats): from רָחַץ (râchats) H7364; a bath; wash(-pot).
  • H7993 — שָׁלַךְ (shâlak, shaw-lak): a primitive root; to throw out, down or away (literally or figuratively); adventure, cast (away, down, forth, off, out), hurl, pluck, throw.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • H5921 — עַל (ʻal, al): properly, the same as עַל (ʻal) H5920 used as a preposition (in the singular or plural often with prefix, or as conjunction with a particle following); above, over, upon, or against (yet always in this last relation with a downward aspect) in a great variety of applications; above, according to(-ly), after, (as) against, among, and, [idiom] as, at, because of, beside (the rest of), between, beyond the time, [idiom] both and, by (reason of), [idiom] had the charge of, concerning for, in (that), (forth, out) of, (from) (off), (up-) on, over, than, through(-out), to, touching, [idiom] with.
