Strong's References
- H1625 — גֵּרָה (gêrâh, gay-raw'): from גָּרַר (gârar) H1641; the cud (as scraping the throat); cud.
- H1641 — גָּרַר (gârar, gaw-rar'): a primitive root; to drag off roughly; by implication, to bring up the cud (i.e. ruminate); by analogy, to saw; catch, chew, [idiom] continuing, destroy, saw.
- H2386 — חֲזִיר (chăzîyr, khaz-eer'): from an unused root probably meaning to enclose; a hog (perhaps as penned); boar, swine.
- H2931 — טָמֵא (ṭâmêʼ, taw-may'): from טָמֵא (ṭâmêʼ) H2930; foul in a religious sense; defiled, [phrase] infamous, polluted(-tion), unclean.
- H6536 — פָּרַס (pâraç, paw-ras'): a primitive root; to break in pieces, i.e. (usually without violence) to split, distribute; deal, divide, have hoofs, part, tear.
- H6541 — פַּרְסָה (parçâh, par-saw'): feminine of פֶּרֶס (pereç) H6538; a claw or split hoof; claw, (cloven-) footed, hoof.
- H8156 — שָׁסַע (shâçaʻ, shaw-sah'): a primitive root; to split or tear; figuratively, to upbraid; cleave, (be) cloven (footed), rend, stay.
- H8157 — שֶׁסַע (sheçaʻ, sheh'-sah): from שָׁסַע (shâçaʻ) H8156; a fissure; cleft, clovenfooted.
The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
- H853 — אֵת (ʼêth, ayth): apparent contracted from אוֹת (ʼôwth) H226 in the demonstrative sense of entity; properly, self (but generally used to point out more definitely the object of a verb or preposition, even or namely); (as such unrepresented in English).
- H1931 — הוּא (hûwʼ, hoo): of which the feminine (beyond the Pentateuch) is הִיא (hîyʼ); a primitive word, the third person pronoun singular; he (she or it); only expressed when emphatic or without a verb; also (intensively) self, or (especially with the article) the same; sometimes (as demonstrative) this or that; occasionally (instead of copula) as or are; he, as for her, him(-self), it, the same, she (herself), such, that (...it), these, they, this, those, which (is), who.
- H3588 — כִּי (kîy, kee): a primitive particle (the full form of the prepositional prefix) indicating causal relations of all kinds, antecedent or consequent; (by implication) very widely used as a relative conjunction or adverb (as below); often largely modified by other particles annexed; and, + (forasmuch, inasmuch, where-) as, assured(-ly), + but, certainly, doubtless, + else, even, + except, for, how, (because, in, so, than) that, + nevertheless, now, rightly, seeing, since, surely, then, therefore, + (al-) though, + till, truly, + until, when, whether, while, whom, yea, yet.
- H3808 — לֹא (lôʼ, lo): or לוֹא (lôwʼ); or לֹה (lôh); (Deuteronomy 3:11), a primitive particle; not (the simple or abs. negation); by implication, no; often used with other particles; [idiom] before, [phrase] or else, ere, [phrase] except, ig(-norant), much, less, nay, neither, never, no((-ne), -r, (-thing)), ([idiom] as though...,(can-), for) not (out of), of nought, otherwise, out of, [phrase] surely, [phrase] as truly as, [phrase] of a truth, [phrase] verily, for want, [phrase] whether, without.
