Strong's References
  • H2142 — זָכַר (zâkar, zaw-kar'): a primitive root; also as denominative from זָכָר (zâkâr) H2145; properly, to mark (so as to be recognized), i.e. to remember; by implication, to mention;to be male; [idiom] burn (incense), [idiom] earnestly, be male, (make) mention (of), be mindful, recount, record(-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, [idiom] still, think on, [idiom] well.
  • H3939 — לַעֲנָה (laʻănâh, lah-an-aw'): from an unused root supposed to mean to curse; wormwood (regarded as poisonous, and therefore accursed); hemlock, wormwood.
  • H4788 — מָרוּד (mârûwd, maw-rood'): from רוּד (rûwd) H7300 in the sense of maltreatment; an outcast; (abstractly) destitution; cast out, misery.
  • H6040 — עֳנִי (ʻŏnîy, on-ee'): from עָנָה (ʻânâh) H6031; depression, i.e. misery; afflicted(-ion), trouble.
  • H7219 — רֹאשׁ (rôʼsh, roshe): or רוֹשׁ (rôwsh); (Deuteronomy 32:32), apparently the same as רֹאשׁ (rôʼsh) H7218; a poisonous plant, probably the poppy (from its conspicuous head); generally poison (even of serpents); gall, hemlock, poison, venom.
