1 Corinthians 15:46
| ← 1 Corinthians 15:45 | 1 Corinthians 15:46 (KJV) | 1 Corinthians 15:47 → |
|---|---|---|
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
|
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
|
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

- G4412 — πρῶτον (prōton, pro'-ton): neuter of πρῶτος (prōtos) G4413 as adverb (with or without ὁ (ho) G3588); firstly (in time, place, order, or importance); before, at the beginning, chiefly (at, at the) first (of all)
- G5591 — ψυχικός (psychikós, psoo-khee-kos'): from ψυχή (psychḗ) G5590; sensitive, i.e. animate (in distinction on the one hand from πνευματικός (pneumatikós) G4152, which is the higher or renovated nature; and on the other from φυσικός (physikós) G5446, which is the lower or bestial nature); natural, sensual
The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
