Romans 11:34

← Romans 11:33 Romans 11:34 (KJV) Romans 11:35 →
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

Compare αὑτοῦ (hautoû) G848.
  • G1063 — γάρ (gár, gar): a primary particle; properly, assigning a reason (used in argument, explanation or intensification; often with other particles); and, as, because (that), but, even, for, indeed, no doubt, seeing, then, therefore, verily, what, why, yet

  • G2228 — ἤ (ḗ, ay): a primary particle of distinction between two connected terms; disjunctive, or; comparative, than; and, but (either), (n-)either, except it be, (n-)or (else), rather, save, than, that, what, yea. Often used in connection with other particles. Compare especially ἤδη (ḗdē) G2235, ἤπερ (ḗper) G2260, ἤτοι (ḗtoi) G2273.

  • G3563 — νοῦς (noûs, nooce): probably from the base of γινώσκω (ginṓskō) G1097; the intellect, i.e. mind (divine or human; in thought, feeling, or will); by implication, meaning; mind, understanding. Compare ψυχή (psychḗ) G5590.
  • G4825 — σύμβουλος (sýmboulos, soom'-boo-los): from σύν (sýn) G4862 and βουλή (boulḗ) G1012; a consultor, i.e. adviser; counsellor
