Luke 5:6
| ← Luke 5:5 | Luke 5:6 (KJV) | Luke 5:7 → |
|---|---|---|
And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
|
And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
|
And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

Strong's References
- G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): from the particle αὖ (aû) (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ (aḗr) G109 through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons; her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Compare πλεῖστος (pleîstos) G4118, πλείων (pleíōn) G4119.
- G4788 — συγκλείω (synkleíō, soong-kli'-o): from σύν (sýn) G4862 and κλείω (kleíō) G2808; to shut together, i.e. include or (figuratively) embrace in a common subjection to; conclude, inclose, shut up
