Job 13:4

← Job 13:3 Job 13:4 (KJV) Job 13:5 →
Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.

Strong's References
  • H199 — אוּלָם (ʼûwlâm, oo-lawm'): apparently a variation of אוּלַי (ʼûwlay) H194; however or on the contrary; as for, but, howbeit, in very deed, surely, truly, wherefore.
  • H457 — אֱלִיל (ʼĕlîyl, el-eel'): apparently from אַל (ʼal) H408; good for nothing, by anal. vain or vanity; specifically an idol; idol, no value, thing of nought.
  • H2950 — טָפַל (ṭâphal, taw-fal'): a primitive root; properly, to stick on as apatch; figuratively, to impute falsely; forge(-r), sew up.
  • H7495 — רָפָא (râphâʼ, raw-faw'): or רָפָה (râphâh); a primitive root; properly, to mend (by stitching), i.e. (figuratively) to cure; cure, (cause to) heal, physician, repair, [idiom] thoroughly, make whole. See רָפָה (râphâh) H7503.
  • H8267 — שֶׁקֶר (sheqer, sheh'-ker): from שָׁקַר (shâqar) H8266; an untruth; by implication, a sham (often adverbial); without a cause, deceit(-ful), false(-hood, -ly), feignedly, liar, [phrase] lie, lying, vain (thing), wrongfully.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • H859 — אַתָּה (ʼattâh, at-taw'): or (shortened); אַתָּ (ʼattâ); or אַת (ʼath); feminine (irregular) sometimes אַתִּי (ʼattîy); plural masculine אַתֶּם (ʼattem); feminine אַתֶּן (ʼatten); or אַתֵּנָה (ʼattênâh); or אַתֵּנָּה (ʼattênnâh); a primitive pronoun of the second person; thou and thee, or (plural) ye and you; thee, thou, ye, you.
  • H3605 — כֹּל (kôl, kole): or (Jeremiah 33:8) כּוֹל (kôwl); from כָּלַל (kâlal) H3634; properly, the whole; hence, all, any or every (in the singular only, but often in a plural sense); (in) all (manner, (ye)), altogether, any (manner), enough, every (one, place, thing), howsoever, as many as, (no-) thing, ought, whatsoever, (the) whole, whoso(-ever).
