Strong's References
- G575 — ἀπό (apó, apo'): a primary particle; "off," i.e. away (from something near), in various senses (of place, time, or relation; literal or figurative); (X here-)after, ago, at, because of, before, by (the space of), for(-th), from, in, (out) of, off, (up-)on(-ce), since, with. In composition (as a prefix) it usually denotes separation, departure, cessation, completion, reversal, etc.
- G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): from the particle αὖ (aû) (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ (aḗr) G109 through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons; her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Compare αὑτοῦ (hautoû) G848.
- G991 — βλέπω (blépō, blep'-o): a primary verb; to look at (literally or figuratively); behold, beware, lie, look (on, to), perceive, regard, see, sight, take heed. Compare ὀπτάνομαι (optánomai) G3700.
- G1291 — διαστέλλομαι (diastéllomai, dee-as-tel'-lom-ahee): middle voice from διά (diá) G1223 and στέλλω (stéllō) G4724; to set (oneself) apart (figuratively, distinguish), i.e. (by implication) to enjoin; charge, that which was (give) commanded(-ment)
- G2219 — ζύμη (zýmē, dzoo'-may): probably from ζέω (zéō) G2204; ferment (as if boiling up); leaven
- G2264 — Ἡρώδης (Hērṓdēs, hay-ro'-dace): compound of ἥρως (hḗrōs) (a "hero") and εἶδος (eîdos) G1491; heroic; Herod, the name of four Jewish kings; Herod
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words; and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet
- G3004 — λέγω (légō, leg'-o): a primary verb; properly, to "lay" forth, i.e. (figuratively) relate (in words (usually of systematic or set discourse; whereas ἔπω (épō) G2036 and φημί (phēmí) G5346 generally refer to an individual expression or speech respectively; while ῥέω (rhéō) G4483 is properly to break silence merely, and λαλέω (laléō) G2980 means an extended or random harangue)); by implication, to mean; ask, bid, boast, call, describe, give out, name, put forth, say(-ing, on), shew, speak, tell, utter
- G3708 — ὁράω (horáō, hor-ah'-o): properly, to stare at (compare ὀπτάνομαι (optánomai) G3700), i.e. (by implication) to discern clearly (physically or mentally); by extension, to attend to; by Hebraism, to experience; passively, to appear; behold, perceive, see, take heed
- G5330 — Φαρισαῖος (Pharisaîos, far-is-ah'-yos): of Hebrew origin (compare H6567); a separatist, i.e. exclusively religious; a Pharisean, i.e. Jewish sectary; Pharisee
The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
