Mark 5:28

← Mark 5:27 Mark 5:28 (KJV) Mark 5:29 →
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Strong's References
  • G680 — ἅπτομαι (háptomai, hap'-tom-ahee): reflexive of ἅπτω (háptō) G681; properly, to attach oneself to, i.e. to touch (in many implied relations); touch
  • G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): from the particle αὖ (aû) (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ (aḗr) G109 through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons; her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Compare αὑτοῦ (hautoû) G848.
  • G1063 — γάρ (gár, gar): a primary particle; properly, assigning a reason (used in argument, explanation or intensification; often with other particles); and, as, because (that), but, even, for, indeed, no doubt, seeing, then, therefore, verily, what, why, yet
  • G2440 — ἱμάτιον (himátion, him-at'-ee-on): neuter of a presumed derivative of ennumi (to put on); a dress (inner or outer); apparel, cloke, clothes, garment, raiment, robe, vesture
  • G2579 — κἄν (kán, kan): from καί (kaí) G2532 and ἐάν (eán) G1437; and (or even) if; and (also) if (so much as), if but, at the least, though, yet
  • G3004 — λέγω (légō, leg'-o): a primary verb; properly, to "lay" forth, i.e. (figuratively) relate (in words (usually of systematic or set discourse; whereas ἔπω (épō) G2036 and φημί (phēmí) G5346 generally refer to an individual expression or speech respectively; while ῥέω (rhéō) G4483 is properly to break silence merely, and λαλέω (laléō) G2980 means an extended or random harangue)); by implication, to mean; ask, bid, boast, call, describe, give out, name, put forth, say(-ing, on), shew, speak, tell, utter
  • G3754 — ὅτι (hóti, hot'-ee): neuter of ὅστις (hóstis) G3748 as conjunction; demonstrative, that (sometimes redundant); causative, because; as concerning that, as though, because (that), for (that), how (that), (in) that, though, why
  • G4982 — σώζω (sṓzō, sode'-zo): from a primary σῶς (sōs) (contraction for obsolete σάος (sáos), "safe"); to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literally or figuratively); heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom); the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc
