2 Corinthians 11:14
| ← 2 Corinthians 11:13 | 2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV) | 2 Corinthians 11:15 → |
|---|---|---|
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
|
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
|
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Strong's References
- G32 — ἄγγελος (ángelos, ang'-el-os): from ἀγγέλλω (angéllō) (probably derived from ἄγω (ágō) G71; compare ἀγέλη (agélē) G34) (to bring tidings); a messenger; especially an "angel"; by implication, a pastor; angel, messenger
- G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): from the particle αὖ (aû) (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ (aḗr) G109 through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons; her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Compare αὑτοῦ (hautoû) G848.
- G1063 — γάρ (gár, gar): a primary particle; properly, assigning a reason (used in argument, explanation or intensification; often with other particles); and, as, because (that), but, even, for, indeed, no doubt, seeing, then, therefore, verily, what, why, yet
- G1519 — εἰς (eis, ice): a primary preposition; to or into (indicating the point reached or entered), of place, time, or (figuratively) purpose (result, etc.); also in adverbial phrases; (abundant-)ly, against, among, as, at, (back-)ward, before, by, concerning, + continual, + far more exceeding, for (intent, purpose), fore, + forth, in (among, at, unto, -so much that, -to), to the intent that, + of one mind, + never, of, (up-)on, + perish, + set at one again, (so) that, therefore(-unto), throughout, til, to (be, the end, -ward), (here-)until(-to), …ward, (where-)fore, with. Often used in composition with the same general import, but only with verbs (etc.) expressing motion (literally or figuratively).
- G2298 — θαυμαστός (thaumastós, thow-mas-tos'): from θαυμάζω (thaumázō) G2296; wondered at, i.e. (by implication) wonderful; marvel(-lous)
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words; and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet
- G3345 — μετασχηματίζω (metaschēmatízō, met-askh-ay-mat-id'-zo): from μετά (metá) G3326 and a derivative of σχῆμα (schēma) G4976; to transfigure or disguise; figuratively, to apply (by accommodation); transfer, transform (self)
- G3756 — οὐ (ou, oo): a primary word; the absolute negative (compare μή (mḗ) G3361) adverb; no or not; + long, nay, neither, never, no (X man), none, (can-)not, + nothing, + special, un(-worthy), when, + without, + yet but. See also οὐ μή (ou mḗ) G3364, μῆκος (mēkos) G3372.
- G4567 — Σατανᾶς (Satanâs, sat-an-as'): of Chaldee origin corresponding to H4566 (with the definite affix); the accuser, i.e. the devil; Satan
- G5457 — φῶς (phōs, foce): from an obsolete φάω (pháō) (to shine or make manifest, especially by rays; compare φαίνω (phaínō) G5316, φημί (phēmí) G5346); luminousness (in the widest application, natural or artificial, abstract or concrete, literal or figurative); fire, light
The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
- G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom); the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc
