1 Corinthians 15:1

← 1 Corinthians 14:40 1 Corinthians 15:1 (KJV) 1 Corinthians 15:2 →
Let all things be done decently and in order.
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

Strong's References
  • G80 — ἀδελφός (adelphós, ad-el-fos'): from Α (A) G1 (as a connective particle) and δελφύς (delphýs) (the womb); a brother (literally or figuratively) near or remote (much like Α (A) G1); brother
  • G1107 — γνωρίζω (gnōrízō, gno-rid'-zo): from a derivative of γινώσκω (ginṓskō) G1097; to make known; subjectively, to know; certify, declare, make known, give to understand, do to wit, wot
  • G1161 — δέ (dé, deh): a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.; also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English)
  • G1722 — ἐν (en, en): a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), i.e. a relation of rest (intermediate between εἰς (eis) G1519 and ἐκ (ek) G1537); "in," at, (up-)on, by, etc.; about, after, against, + almost, X altogether, among, X as, at, before, between, (here-)by (+ all means), for (… sake of), + give self wholly to, (here-)in(-to, -wardly), X mightily, (because) of, (up-)on, (open-)ly, X outwardly, one, X quickly, X shortly, (speedi-)ly, X that, X there(-in, -on), through(-out), (un-)to(-ward), under, when, where(-with), while, with(-in). Often used in compounds, with substantially the same import; rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction, except (elliptically) by a separate (and different) preposition.
  • G2097 — εὐαγγελίζω (euangelízō, yoo-ang-ghel-id'-zo): from εὖ (eû) G2095 and ἄγγελος (ángelos) G32; to announce good news ("evangelize") especially the gospel; declare, bring (declare, show) glad (good) tidings, preach (the gospel)
  • G2098 — εὐαγγέλιον (euangélion, yoo-ang-ghel'-ee-on): from the same as εὐαγγελίζω (euangelízō) G2097; a good message, i.e. the gospel; gospel
  • G2476 — ἵστημι (hístēmi, his'-tay-mee): a prolonged form of a primary στάω (stáō) stah'-o (of the same meaning, and used for it in certain tenses); to stand (transitively or intransitively), used in various applications (literally or figuratively); abide, appoint, bring, continue, covenant, establish, hold up, lay, present, set (up), stanch, stand (by, forth, still, up). Compare τίθημι (títhēmi) G5087.
  • G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words; and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet
  • G3739 — ὅς (hós, hos): probably a primary word (or perhaps a form of the article ὁ (ho) G3588); the relatively (sometimes demonstrative) pronoun, who, which, what, that; one, (an-, the) other, some, that, what, which, who(-m, -se), etc. See also οὗ (hoû) G3757.
  • G3880 — παραλαμβάνω (paralambánō, par-al-am-ban'-o): from παρά (pará) G3844 and λαμβάνω (lambánō) G2983; to receive near, i.e. associate with oneself (in any familiar or intimate act or relation); by analogy, to assume an office; figuratively, to learn; receive, take (unto, with)
  • G5213 — ὑμῖν (hymîn, hoo-min'): irregular dative case of ὑμεῖς (hymeîs) G5210; to (with or by) you; ye, you, your(-selves)

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom); the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc
