Strong's References
  • H123 — אֱדֹם (ʼĔdôm, ed-ome'): or (fully) אֱדוֹם (ʼĔdôwm) ; from אָדֹם (ʼâdôm) H122; red (see Genesis 25:25); Edom, the elder twin-brother of Jacob; hence the region (Idumaea) occupied by him; Edom, Edomites, Idumea.
  • H441 — אַלּוּף (ʼallûwph, al-loof'): or (shortened) אַלֻּף (ʼalluph); from אָלַף (ʼâlaph) H502; familiar; a friend, also gentle; hence, a bullock (as being tame; applied, although masculine, to a cow); and so, a chieftain (as notable, like neat cattle); captain, duke, (chief) friend, governor, guide, ox.
  • H1908 — הֲדַד (Hădad, had-ad'): probably of foreign origin (compare אֲדַד (ʼĂdad) H111); Hadad, the name of an idol, and of several kings of Edom; Hadad.
  • H3509 — יְתֵת (Yᵉthêth, yeh-thayth'): of uncertain derivation; Jetheth, an Edomite; Jetheth. k
  • H4191 — מוּת (mûwth, mooth): a primitive root; to die (literally or figuratively); causatively, to kill; [idiom] at all, [idiom] crying, (be) dead (body, man, one), (put to, worthy of) death, destroy(-er), (cause to, be like to, must) die, kill, necro(-mancer), [idiom] must needs, slay, [idiom] surely, [idiom] very suddenly, [idiom] in (no) wise.
  • H5933 — עַלְוָה (ʻAlvâh, al-vaw'): or עַליָה (ʻAlyâh); the same as עַלְוָה (ʻalvâh) H5932; Alvah or Aljah, an Idumaean; Aliah, Alvah.
  • H8555 — תִּמְנָע (Timnâʻ, tim-naw'): from מָנַע (mânaʻ) H4513; restraint; Timna, the name of two Edomites; Timna, Timnah.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • H1961 — הָיָה (hâyâh, haw-yaw): a primitive root (compare הָוָא (hâvâʼ) H1933); to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary); beacon, [idiom] altogether, be(-come), accomplished, committed, like), break, cause, come (to pass), do, faint, fall, [phrase] follow, happen, [idiom] have, last, pertain, quit (one-) self, require, [idiom] use.
