Mark 7:36
| ← Mark 7:35 | Mark 7:36 (KJV) | Mark 7:37 → |
|---|---|---|
And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
|
And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
|
And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

Strong's References
- G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): from the particle αὖ (aû) (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ (aḗr) G109 through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons; her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Compare αὑτοῦ (hautoû) G848.
- G1161 — δέ (dé, deh): a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.; also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English)
- G1291 — διαστέλλομαι (diastéllomai, dee-as-tel'-lom-ahee): middle voice from διά (diá) G1223 and στέλλω (stéllō) G4724; to set (oneself) apart (figuratively, distinguish), i.e. (by implication) to enjoin; charge, that which was (give) commanded(-ment)
- G2036 — ἔπω (épō, ep'-o): a primary verb (used only in the definite past tense, the others being borrowed from ἐρέω (eréō) G2046, ῥέω (rhéō) G4483, and φημί (phēmí) G5346); to speak or say (by word or writing); answer, bid, bring word, call, command, grant, say (on), speak, tell. Compare λέγω (légō) G3004.
- G2443 — ἵνα (hína, hin'-ah): probably from the same as the former part of ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438 (through the demonstrative idea; compare ὁ (ho) G3588); in order that (denoting the purpose or the result); albeit, because, to the intent (that), lest, so as, (so) that, (for) to. Compare ἵνα μή (hína mḗ) G3363.
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words; and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet
- G2784 — κηρύσσω (kērýssō, kay-roos'-so): of uncertain affinity; to herald (as a public crier), especially divine truth (the gospel); preacher(-er), proclaim, publish
- G3123 — μᾶλλον (mâllon, mal'-lon): neuter of the comparative of the same as μάλιστα (málista) G3122; (adverbially) more (in a greater degree) or rather; + better, X far, (the) more (and more), (so) much (the more), rather
- G3367 — μηδείς (mēdeís, may-dice'): from μή (mḗ) G3361 and εἷς (heîs) G1520; not even one (man, woman, thing); any (man, thing), no (man), none, not (at all, any man, a whit), nothing, + without delay
- G3745 — ὅσος (hósos, hos'-os): by reduplication from ὅς (hós) G3739; as (much, great, long, etc.) as; all (that), as (long, many, much) (as), how great (many, much), (in-)asmuch as, so many as, that (ever), the more, those things, what (great, -soever), wheresoever, wherewithsoever, which, X while, who(-soever)
- G4054 — περισσότερον (perissóteron, per-is-sot'-er-on): neuter of περισσότερος (perissóteros) G4055 (as adverb); in a more superabundant way; more abundantly, a great deal, far more
