Mark 13:30

← Mark 13:29 [words of Jesus] Mark 13:30 (KJV) [words of Jesus] Mark 13:31 [words of Jesus] →
So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

  • G3360 — μέχρι (méchri, mekh'-ree): from μῆκος (mēkos) G3372; as far as, i.e. up to a certain point (as a preposition, of extent (denoting the terminus, whereas ἄχρι (áchri) G891 refers especially to the space of time or place intervening) or conjunction); till, (un-)to, until
  • G3364 — οὐ μή (ou mḗ, oo may): i.e. οὐ (ou) G3756 and μή (mḗ) G3361; a double negative strengthening the denial; not at all; any more, at all, by any (no) means, neither, never, no (at all), in no case (wise), nor ever, not (at all, in any wise). Compare μὴ οὐκ (mḕ ouk) G3378.
  • G3739 — ὅς (hós, hos): probably a primary word (or perhaps a form of the article ὁ (ho) G3588); the relatively (sometimes demonstrative) pronoun, who, which, what, that; one, (an-, the) other, some, that, what, which, who(-m, -se), etc. See also οὗ (hoû) G3757.
  • G3754 — ὅτι (hóti, hot'-ee): neuter of ὅστις (hóstis) G3748 as conjunction; demonstrative, that (sometimes redundant); causative, because; as concerning that, as though, because (that), for (that), how (that), (in) that, though, why

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G3361 — μή (mḗ, may): a primary particle of qualified negation (whereas οὐ (ou) G3756 expresses an absolute denial); (adverb) not, (conjunction) lest; also (as an interrogative implying a negative answer (whereas οὐ (ou) G3756 expects an affirmative one)) whether; any but (that), X forbear, + God forbid, + lack, lest, neither, never, no (X wise in), none, nor, (can-)not, nothing, that not, un(-taken), without.
