Hebrews 10:17

← Hebrews 10:16 Hebrews 10:17 (KJV) Hebrews 10:18 →
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

  • G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words; and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet
  • G3364 — οὐ μή (ou mḗ, oo may): i.e. οὐ (ou) G3756 and μή (mḗ) G3361; a double negative strengthening the denial; not at all; any more, at all, by any (no) means, neither, never, no (at all), in no case (wise), nor ever, not (at all, in any wise). Compare μὴ οὐκ (mḕ ouk) G3378.
  • G3415 — μνάομαι (mnáomai, mnah'-om-ahee): middle voice of a derivative of μένω (ménō) G3306 or perhaps of the base of μασσάομαι (massáomai) G3145 (through the idea of fixture in the mind or of mental grasp); to bear in mind, i.e. recollect; by implication, to reward or punish; be mindful, remember, come (have) in remembrance. Compare μιμνήσκω (mimnḗskō) G3403.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G3361 — μή (mḗ, may): a primary particle of qualified negation (whereas οὐ (ou) G3756 expresses an absolute denial); (adverb) not, (conjunction) lest; also (as an interrogative implying a negative answer (whereas οὐ (ou) G3756 expects an affirmative one)) whether; any but (that), X forbear, + God forbid, + lack, lest, neither, never, no (X wise in), none, nor, (can-)not, nothing, that not, un(-taken), without. Often used in compounds in substantially the same relations.
