Compare אִשָּׁה (ʼishshâh) H802.
  • H505 — אֶלֶף (ʼeleph, eh'-lef): prop, the same as אֶלֶף (ʼeleph) H504; hence (the ox's head being the first letter of the alphabet, and this eventually used as a numeral) a thousand; thousand.
  • H2923 — טְלָאִים (Ṭᵉlâʼîym, tel-aw-eem'): from the plural of טְלָא (ṭᵉlâʼ) H2922; lambs; Telaim, a place in Palestine; Telaim.
  • H3063 — יְהוּדָה (Yᵉhûwdâh, yeh-hoo-daw'): from יָדָה (yâdâh) H3034; celebrated; Jehudah (or Judah), the name of five Israelites; also of the tribe descended from the first, and of its territory; Judah.

  • H5971 — עַם (ʻam, am): from עָמַם (ʻâmam) H6004; a people (as a congregated unit); specifically, a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively, a flock; folk, men, nation, people.
  • H6235 — עֶשֶׂר (ʻeser, eh'ser): masculine of term עֲשָׂרָה (ʻăsârâh); from עָשַׂר (ʻâsar) H6237; ten (as an accumulation to the extent of the digits); ten, (fif-, seven-) teen.
  • H6485 — פָּקַד (pâqad, paw-kad'): a primitive root; to visit (with friendly or hostile intent); by analogy, to oversee, muster, charge, care for, miss, deposit, etc.; appoint, [idiom] at all, avenge, bestow, (appoint to have the, give a) charge, commit, count, deliver to keep, be empty, enjoin, go see, hurt, do judgment, lack, lay up, look, make, [idiom] by any means, miss, number, officer, (make) overseer, have (the) oversight, punish, reckon, (call to) remember(-brance), set (over), sum, [idiom] surely, visit, want.

  • H7586 — שָׁאוּל (Shâʼûwl, shaw-ool'): passive participle of שָׁאַל (shâʼal) H7592; asked; Shaul, the name of an Edomite and two Israelites; Saul, Shaul.
  • H8085 — שָׁמַע (shâmaʻ, shaw-mah'): a primitive root; to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively, to tell, etc.); [idiom] attentively, call (gather) together, [idiom] carefully, [idiom] certainly, consent, consider, be content, declare, [idiom] diligently, discern, give ear, (cause to, let, make to) hear(-ken, tell), [idiom] indeed, listen, make (a) noise, (be) obedient, obey, perceive, (make a) proclaim(-ation), publish, regard, report, shew (forth), (make a) sound, [idiom] surely, tell, understand, whosoever (heareth), witness.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • H853 — אֵת (ʼêth, ayth): apparent contracted from אוֹת (ʼôwth) H226 in the demonstrative sense of entity; properly, self (but generally used to point out more definitely the object of a verb or preposition, even or namely); (as such unrepresented in English).
  • H854 — אֵת (ʼêth, ayth): probably from אָנָה (ʼânâh) H579; properly, nearness (used only as a preposition or an adverb), near; hence, generally, with, by, at, among, etc.; against, among, before, by, for, from, in(-to), (out) of, with. Often with another prepositional prefix.
