1 Corinthians 15:27

← 1 Corinthians 15:26 1 Corinthians 15:27 (KJV) 1 Corinthians 15:28 →
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Strong's References
  • G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): from the particle αὖ (aû) (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ (aḗr) G109 through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons; her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Compare λέγω (légō) G3004.
  • G3752 — ὅταν (hótan, hot'-an): from ὅτε (hóte) G3753 and ἄν (án) G302; whenever (implying hypothesis or more or less uncertainty); also causatively (conjunctionally) inasmuch as; as long (soon) as, that, + till, when(-soever), while

  • G3956 — πᾶς (pâs, pas): including all the forms of declension; apparently a primary word; all, any, every, the whole; all (manner of, means), alway(-s), any (one), X daily, + ever, every (one, way), as many as, + no(-thing), X thoroughly, whatsoever, whole, whosoever

In the comparative, it retains the same general applications, especially of inferior position or condition, and specially, covertly or moderately.
  • G5293 — ὑποτάσσω (hypotássō, hoop-ot-as'-so): from ὑπό (hypó) G5259 and τάσσω (tássō) G5021; to subordinate; reflexively, to obey; be under obedience (obedient), put under, subdue unto, (be, make) subject (to, unto), be (put) in subjection (to, under), submit self unto
