← Mark 5:34 [words of Jesus] Mark 5:35 (KJV) Mark 5:36 [words of Jesus] →
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

  • G752 — ἀρχισυνάγωγος (archisynágōgos, ar-khee-soon-ag'-o-gos): from ἀρχή (archḗ) G746 and συναγωγή (synagōgḗ) G4864; director of the synagogue services; (chief) ruler of the synagogue
  • G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): from the particle αὖ (aû) (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ (aḗr) G109 through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons; her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. • G2064 — ἔρχομαι (érchomai, er'-khom-ahee): middle voice of a primary verb (used only in the present and imperfect tenses, the others being supplied by a kindred (middle voice) ἐλεύθομαι (eleúthomai) el-yoo'-thom-ahee, or (active) ἔλθω (élthō) el'-tho, which do not otherwise occur); to come or go (in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively); accompany, appear, bring, come, enter, fall out, go, grow, X light, X next, pass, resort, be set

  • G2980 — λαλέω (laléō, lal-eh'-o): a prolonged form of an otherwise obsolete verb; to talk, i.e. utter words; preach, say, speak (after), talk, tell, utter. Compare λέγω (légō) G3004.
  • G3004 — λέγω (légō, leg'-o): a primary verb; properly, to "lay" forth, i.e. (figuratively) relate (in words (usually of systematic or set discourse; whereas ἔπω (épō) G2036 and φημί (phēmí) G5346 generally refer to an individual expression or speech respectively; while ῥέω (rhéō) G4483 is properly to break silence merely, and λαλέω (laléō) G2980 means an extended or random harangue)); by implication, to mean; ask, bid, boast, call, describe, give out, name, put forth, say(-ing, on), shew, speak, tell, utter
  • G3754 — ὅτι (hóti, hot'-ee): neuter of ὅστις (hóstis) G3748 as conjunction; demonstrative, that (sometimes redundant); causative, because; as concerning that, as though, because (that), for (that), how (that), (in) that, though, why
  • G4660 — σκύλλω (skýllō, skool'-lo): apparently a primary verb; to flay, i.e. (figuratively) to harass; trouble(self)
  • G4675 — σοῦ (soû, soo): genitive case of σύ (sý) G4771; of thee, thy; X home, thee, thine (own), thou, thy
