As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

  • G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): from the particle αὖ (aû) (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ (aḗr) G109 through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû) G1438) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons; her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. • G3004 — λέγω (légō, leg'-o): a primary verb; properly, to "lay" forth, i.e. (figuratively) relate (in words (usually of systematic or set discourse; whereas ἔπω (épō) G2036 and φημί (phēmí) G5346 generally refer to an individual expression or speech respectively; while ῥέω (rhéō) G4483 is properly to break silence merely, and λαλέω (laléō) G2980 means an extended or random harangue)); by implication, to mean; ask, bid, boast, call, describe, give out, name, put forth, say(-ing, on), shew, speak, tell, utter
  • G3568 — νῦν (nŷn, noon): a primary particle of present time; "now" (as adverb of date, a transition or emphasis); also as noun or adjective present or immediate; henceforth, + hereafter, of late, soon, present, this (time). See also τανῦν (tanŷn) G3569, νυνί (nyní) G3570.
  • G3739 — ὅς (hós, hos): probably a primary word (or perhaps a form of the article ὁ (ho) G3588); the relatively (sometimes demonstrative) pronoun, who, which, what, that; one, (an-, the) other, some, that, what, which, who(-m, -se), etc. See also οὗ (hoû) G3757.
  • G3795 — ὀψάριον (opsárion, op-sar'-ee-on): neuter of a presumed derivative of the base of ὀπτός (optós) G3702; a relish to other food (as if cooked sauce), i.e. (specially), fish (presumably salted and dried as a condiment); fish
  • G4084 — πιάζω (piázō, pee-ad'-zo): probably another form of βιάζω (biázō) G971; to squeeze, i.e. seize (gently by the hand (press), or officially (arrest), or in hunting (capture)); apprehend, catch, lay hand on, take. Compare πιέζω (piézō) G4085.
  • G5342 — φέρω (phérō, fer'-o): a primary verb (for which other, and apparently not cognate ones are used in certain tenses only; namely, οἴω (oíō) oy'-o; and ἐνέγκω (enénkō) en-eng'-ko); to "bear" or carry (in a very wide application, literally and figuratively, as follows); be, bear, bring (forth), carry, come, + let her drive, be driven, endure, go on, lay, lead, move, reach, rushing, uphold

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom); the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc
