|---|---|---|
For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:
|
When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:
|
So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.

- H4150 — מוֹעֵד (môwʻêd, mo-ade'): or מֹעֵד (môʻêd); or (feminine) מוֹעָדָה (môwʻâdâh); (2 Chronicles 8:13), from יָעַד (yâʻad) H3259; properly, an appointment, i.e. a fixed time or season; specifically, a festival; conventionally ayear; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand); appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn(-ity), synogogue, (set) time (appointed).

- H6999 — קָטַר (qâṭar, kaw-tar'): a primitive root (identical with קָטַר (qâṭar) H7000 through the idea of fumigation in a close place and perhaps thus driving out the occupants); to smoke, i.e. turn into fragrance by fire (especially as an act of worship); burn (incense, sacrifice) (upon), (altar for) incense, kindle, offer (incense, a sacrifice).
