Strong's References
- H256 — אַחְאָב (ʼAchʼâb, akh-awb'): once (by contraction) אֶחָב (ʼEchâb) (Jeremiah 29:22); from אָח (ʼâch) H251 and אָב (ʼâb) H1; brother (i.e. friend) of (his) father; Achab, the name of a king of Israel and of a prophet at Babylon; Ahab.
- H3478 — יִשְׂרָאֵל (Yisrâʼêl, yis-raw-ale'): from שָׂרָה (sârâh) H8280 and אֵל (ʼêl) H410; he will rule as God; Jisrael, a symbolical name of Jacob; also (typically) of his posterity; Israel.
- H4124 — מוֹאָב (Môwʼâb, mo-awb): from a prolonged form of the prepositional prefix m-and אָב (ʼâb) H1; from (her (the mother's)) father; Moab, an incestuous son of Lot; also his territory and descendants; Moab.
- H4194 — מָוֶת (mâveth, maw'-veth): from מוּת (mûwth) H4191; death (natural or violent); concretely, the dead, their place or state (hades); figuratively, pestilence, ruin; (be) dead(-ly), death, die(-d).
- H4428 — מֶלֶךְ (melek, meh'-lek): from מָלַךְ (mâlak) H4427; a king; king, royal.
- H6586 — פָּשַׁע (pâshaʻ, paw-shah'): a primitive root (identical with פָּשַׂע (pâsaʻ) H6585 through the idea of expansion); to break away (from just authority), i.e. trespass, apostatize, quarrel; offend, rebel, revolt, transgress(-ion, -or).
The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
- H1961 — הָיָה (hâyâh, haw-yaw): a primitive root (compare הָוָא (hâvâʼ) H1933); to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary); beacon, [idiom] altogether, be(-come), accomplished, committed, like), break, cause, come (to pass), do, faint, fall, [phrase] follow, happen, [idiom] have, last, pertain, quit (one-) self, require, [idiom] use.
